COURSE INFORMATION

Building upon other initiatives including its lunchtime lecture series and monthly Discussion Group, Christ Church Cathedral is offering a six-week course in Art & Music in the life of the Christian Church, commencing on 7 February 2005.

The course will provide participants with an overview of the history and development of each of these modes of creative expression as expressed in the life of the Christian Church, worldwide and in the Irish context, from the earliest times to today.

Featuring a panel of distinguished speakers, the lectures will be in illustrated format, using slide presentations for the art and playing examples of the music. Each pair of lectures (one on art followed by one on music) will take place on Monday evenings from 7 to 9pm.
