For nearly one thousand years Christ Church Cathedral has welcomed pilgrims and visitors. Many thousands still come every year.

The primary purpose of the cathedral is to draw people to worship God. We do this through experiencing the beauty of the building, through formal worship with glorious music and by the day to day life of what goes on here.
