Suggested IntercessionsSuggestions for the Intercessions (Sunday 26 February 2006)

Let us pray,

Almighty and everliving God hear the prayers we offer in faith and love, for peace and for your salvation to be known throughout the world.

Lord in your mercy ...

For the one holy, catholic and apostolic Church and for the unity of all Christian people. In the Anglican cycle of prayer we remember the church in Central America. In the Porvoo cycle of prayer we pray for the dioceses of Latvia, Lichfield and St Davids in Wales.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all who serve and lead in your Church, for bishops, priests and deacons and especially for John our bishop.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all your people, growing in the faith of Christ, and passing it on to generations yet to come.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all who work and live in this community and in the diocesan cycle of prayer for the people and parishes of Donoughmore, Donard and Dunlavin and their priest, Declan Smith. We pray too for the work Church Missionary Society and its director, Patrick Comerford. Bless, Lord, the Dean and Chapter of this Cathedral church, its Board and for all who work and worship here.

Lord in your mercy ...

For families and for those who live alone, for the disabled and for those who are unable to join fully in the life of their communities.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all who are sick in mind or body, and for all who care for them remembering especially Galina, Nicky, Declan, Frank, John, Joe and Marcus, and all whose names are entered in the Lady Chapel book of prayers and those known to us personally.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all in authority and especially for our President Mary McAleese.

Lord in your mercy ...

For all who are entrusted with the responsibilities of government.

Lord in your mercy ...

Rejoicing in the fellowship of your holy apostles and martyrs, and of all your servants departed this life in your faith and fear, we commend ourselves and one another and our whole life to you, Lord God; Merciful Father, accept these our prayers, for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
